example, if a vial is contaminated and wiped onto the sponge, what keeps the next vial from becoming
contaminated when it is wiped on the sponge?
The sponge is soaked with a powerful bactericidal solution (e.g. Cholexidine + Isopropilic alcohol) to avoid proliferation of
bacteria.

Can the length of time from wiping on the sponge to the next action by CytoCare be defined by the user – to
allow a specific time for the vial top to dry effectively?
Yes, the hospital can set this value, according to its preference

What should be used for cleaning the machine?
The recommended procedure is a two-steps procedure: 2% quaternary ammonium solution and 70% isopropilic alcohol

Is it possible to wipe the caps of all bottles, vials etc. prior to spiking them?
Yes, this can be done. The machine can be equipped with an optional wiping station.

How can we grant good cleaning and sterility of the robotic arm?
The robot has been especially designed for clean rooms. Cleaning instructions foresee wiping the arm with quarternary
ammonium followed by 70% isopropyl alcohol spraying.
